Tallest Hotels in the United States

These are the tallest hotels located in the United States that are at least 600 feet in height. Paris Hilton grew up in one of these hotels and is banned from two others.

These are the tallest hotels in the United States. All of these hotels are at least 600 feet in height and the tallest hotel in the United States is the 12th tallest hotel in the world. Four of these hotels are located in the big tourist cities of New York and Las Vegas while the other two are in cities that get far fewer visitors and tourists. All of these hotels are great places to stay and all are located near the great tourist attractions in each city and most of these hotels themselves are tourist attractions. Paris Hilton grew up in one of these hotels and was recently banned from two others.

1) Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center - 727 feet

The Detroit Marriott at the GM Renaissance Center located along the International Riverfront is the tallest all hotel building in the United States and 12th tallest hotel in the world at 727 feet. Built as a circular tower the Detroit Marriott is also the tallest building of any kind in Michigan and with 1,298 rooms the largest hotel in the Marriott chain. The entire GM Renaissance Center is the 6th largest building in the United States. Upscale restaurant Coach Insignia is located on floors 71 and 72 in the 73 story hotel.

2) Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta - 723 feet

At 723 feet the Westin Peachtree Plaza located at 210 Peachtree Street in Atlanta is the 2nd tallest hotel in the United States. When completed in 1976 the Westin Peachtree Plaza was the tallest hotel in the world and today the building is the 13th tallest hotel in the world and 5th tallest building in Atlanta. Visitors and guests can visit the observation floor in the hotel and the two top floors revolve once every 30 and 60 minutes.

3) Four Seasons Hotel in New York City - 682 feet

The Four Season Hotel is located at 57 East 57th Street between Madison and Park Avenues, North Side in Manhattan in New York City and at 682 feet in height is the 3rd tallest hotel in the United States and 16th tallest hotel in the world. With its fantastic interiors and first class service the Four Seasons Hotel in New York is one of the best rated hotels in the world.

4) Encore at Wynn Las Vegas - 631 feet

Encore at Wynn Las Vegas is located at 3121 Las Vegas Boulevard South and at 631 feet is the 4th tallest hotel in the United States and 26th tallest hotel in the world as well as the 3rd tallest building in Las Vegas. Encore was completed in 2008 and is owned by Steve Wynn's Wynn Resorts. Paris Hilton was recently banned from the Encore and Wynn Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos.

5) Waldorf-Astoria in New York City - 625 feet

The Waldorf-Astoria located at 301 Park Avenue in New York City is the 5th tallest hotel in the United States and 27 tallest hotel in the world and 7th largest hotel in New York. With 1,245 rooms the Waldorf-Astoria is the 7th largest hotel in New York. Dating to 1931 the Waldorf-Astoria became a Hilton hotel in 1949 and Conrad Hilton's great-granddaughter and media personality celebrity Paris Hilton grew up in the hotel.

6) Wynn Las Vegas - 614 feet

The last hotel over 600 feet located in the United States is the Wynn Las Vegas which is located next to Encore at 3131 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Connected to Encore these two impressive casino resort hotels are extremely highly rated as are all Wynn Resort hotels and anybody visiting Las Vegas cannot help but to notice these two tall impressive looking hotel casinos.
